The app for electricians and plumbers — a photo instead of a wasted trip.
Drove out, took a look, drove back — and the right part was still on the shelf? With photo requests you decide from your phone: send an estimate, order the part, or set the appointment. The wasted trip never happens.

What should your company app do?
5 questions · 30 seconds · then a concrete proposal with a fixed price.
Three requests. How often do you really have to drive out?
Decide the way you would on your phone — is the photo enough, or does someone have to come?
“The GFCI keeps tripping” + photo of the panel
In the photo: old panel, no space problem
“The water heater is dripping” + photo of the rating plate
Rating plate readable — the seal kit can be ordered
“Add outlets in an older home” + 3 photos
Wire routing unclear — that one needs eyes on site
What the app for your company can do.
Tap through the building blocks — on the right you see how it looks in your company app.
The Hendersons' solar array — from the customer's side.
Every big job gets a folder in the app — tap through the stages:
The Hendersons see
Documents
Estimate · system plan · rebate paperwork — all in the folder, nothing lost in an email thread
If they have questions
the customer writes in the app — you answer when you are not standing on a roof
“How far along are we?” the folder answers — your crew keeps working.
Photo first — drive out only when it is needed.
The call says: “Something is dripping.” The photo says: tankless heater, rating plate readable, connection under the unit, seal kit fits. Between those two sentences lie half an hour of driving, a parking spot and the ride back to the shop — or not.
What the photo already decides
A photo request is not a form with a picture stapled to it, it is a decision made early. Someone who photographs the open panel shows you the condition, the spare capacity and usually the age of the whole thing. In two minutes you can see whether an estimate goes out, a part gets ordered, or whether this one really needs eyes on site. All the customer notices is that the answer came fast.
The second effect gets underrated — you know what belongs on the truck. A readable rating plate means: bring the seal kit. “The GFCI keeps tripping” plus a photo of the panel means: pack a 20 A GFCI breaker. Two trips — one to look, one to fix — become one. That is the difference between a full day and a day where two jobs get pushed.
The cheapest hour in the shop is the trip that never happens.
What that means in miles and hours
Run it with your own numbers instead of an industry average. Two wasted trips a week, 45 minutes and 25 miles each, across 48 working weeks: about 75 hours and 2,400 miles a year. Time nobody is turning a wrench in, and fuel nobody can bill. The calculator further down turns that into your number — your trips, your miles.
Staying honest: not every request gets settled by a photo. When the wire routing in an older home is a mystery, or the measurements for a faucet are missing, somebody drives out. Just with every photo already in their head and the right parts on the truck — and without the second trip afterward. Anyone promising that you will never drive out for nothing again is selling you something.
Service is planned revenue, not luck
The second lever sits where most shops only react: the equipment you already look after. Water heaters, combustion checks, panel checks — the app reminds the customer 14 days ahead and sends three open times along with it. He taps one, the appointment is in your day plan. No “we will be in touch,” no paging through a calendar.
That shifts something fundamental: instead of waiting for something to break, you fill September while it is still August. On top of that come the forms that still run on paper — service report, inspection report, handoff sheet. Filled in digitally, signed on site, filed as a PDF on the job. The Friday afternoon somebody spends retyping paperwork simply stops happening.
And the start is more complete than most people expect: the first version from $4,000 is a finished app with photo requests and scheduling — in the stores, under your name, ready in two weeks. What comes later is not the missing rest, it is more technology: automation, an admin area, the connection to your job or time tracking system. What gets built out is whatever proves useful in daily work — not whatever looks good in a brochure.
How many trips last week would a photo have saved? Tell us in 30 seconds how requests come in at your shop.

Hands in the junction box — and the office calls to ask how far along you are.
Photo triage and the job folder keep the office and the jobsite in sync — zero status calls, full focus.
What do photo requests save, in numbers?
≈ 75 hours and 2,400 miles a year — saved before the truck even starts.
And the right diagnosis up front means: the ONE trip that happens brings the right part along.

Who actually builds your app?
No off-the-shelf builder, no chain of anonymous contractors: an owner-run development studio that designs, codes and looks after apps for electrical and plumbing companies itself.
Have a nice day — an owner-run development studio: the person you deal with is the developer himself.

Depending on the feature set, projects land between $4,000 and roughly $30,000 — how far your app goes is your call. We name the fixed price after a short conversation, free and without obligation.
The three packages are typical sizes; anything in between is possible too. The math: base package $4,000, each additional module about +$900, each connection to an existing system about +$2,500. The shows what every single feature costs.
Where do the speed and the price come from? We work with current tooling, AI included — the time we save goes back into the price, the care stays handmade.
