The law firm app — every document lands in the right file.
An email with three attachments, a contract photo by text, plus a fax: by the time it is all labeled and filed, 12 minutes are gone. Your own app takes documents in already sorted — and shows clients themselves how far along their matter is.

“Is that out yet?” — usually it is only about the status.
Left without a file
One piece with no sender and no reference. That stays handwork, app or not.
The app does not decide which file something belongs in — it asks exactly once.

The brief itself took two hours. The three hours before it went into searching.
That is exactly where the app starts: documents arrive with their matter, not as an attachment without a reference. It changes nothing about the substance of your work — only about what comes before it.
What an app really changes at a firm.
A firm rarely loses its time on the brief. It loses it before that: searching, filing, asking. Documents come in by email, as a photo, by fax, in an envelope and sometimes over the phone — and somebody has to carry every piece into the right file. Your own app does not change how you work. It only changes where things arrive: in one place, labeled, with the matter attached.
Where the 12 minutes per file go
Take an ordinary day: 8 items in, each on a different channel. By the time a piece is labeled, named and sitting in the right file, experience says 12 minutes are gone — not in one stretch, but spread across the day, every time with your head somewhere else. When the item comes through the app, the matter is already known: the client uploads inside their own matter, not into an inbox. Twelve minutes turn into 40 seconds of checking. Over 220 working days that is roughly 330 hours — and you can run that math with your own numbers further down.
The second effect is the quieter one: the questions. When a client can see for himself that the response brief was filed and when the hearing is, he does not call to hear it. In practice, of 21 questions a week about 6 are left — the real ones, the ones that need a conversation anyway. The other 15 are handled by the visible status before anyone reaches for the phone.
Not every question needs a phone call — most only need a visible status.
What the app cannot do — and should not
An app gives no legal advice. It tells nobody how their case stands, it estimates nothing and it answers no question that is really counsel. It shows status, dates and documents — nothing more, and that is on purpose. Anything else would be a promise software cannot keep and that you would end up answering for.
It does not replace your case management software or your docket calendar either. Deadline control stays where it belongs: with you. The app reminds on top of that — seven days ahead and again the day before — but it carries no responsibility. Confidentiality stays your duty too: the app only governs who may open which matter and where the documents sit — on servers we run for your firm, separated by role.
What the first month looks like
It takes two weeks until the first version is in the stores — and from $4,000 that is not a trial version but a full app: matter status, document upload, dates and deadlines, under your name in both stores. The bigger packages bring more blocks and deeper plumbing, say the link to your case management system — not a better app.
After that it goes quiet for a while. Firms introduce the app most sensibly with new matters: a QR code at the intake meeting and one sentence to take home — “upload your documents here, and you can see where things stand at any time.” Existing clients follow as soon as something next happens in their matter. Count in months, not weeks: after the first quarter the uploads run by themselves — at 64 active matters that is roughly 147 documents a month that nobody has to file.

What does filing cost — and what is left at the end of the year?
≈ 330 hours a year that no longer disappear into searching and filing.
Then there are the questions: of 21 a week about 6 are left — the visible matter status answers the others before anyone reaches for the phone.

Who actually builds your app?
No off-the-shelf builder, no chain of anonymous contractors: an owner-run development studio that designs, codes and looks after apps for law firms itself.
Have a nice day — an owner-run development studio: the person you deal with is the developer himself.

Depending on the feature set, projects land between $4,000 and roughly $30,000 — how far your app goes is your call. We name the fixed price after a short conversation, free and without obligation.
The three packages are typical sizes; anything in between is possible too. The math: base package $4,000, each additional module about +$900, each connection to an existing system about +$2,500. The shows what every single feature costs.
Where do the speed and the price come from? We work with current tooling, AI included — the time we save goes back into the price, the care stays handmade.
